Go Monster Everything will be having a stall at the Northcote Town Hall Winter Markets this year, which is on June 20 +27 and July 4 + 11. Lots of tshirts, monster and patches, and maybe some new printed tshirts if I have my designs ready in time!
Hello all,
I've been pretty busy monstering! Here's the update on what's happening in the next little while:
Thursday September 25 (this thursday!) 5.30 - 8.30pm is the opening of the exhibition 'Totem - Dolls with Souls' at Fracture Galleries, Federation Square (corner Swanston and Flinders St). The exhibition will be open 24 hours a day until Sunday October 12th. It's an exhibition of self portrait dolls made by over 100 different artists and I have a monster in it! Will be a really exciting exhibition I think, and my monster is a strange beast indeed.
Tuesday September 30th - Monday October 13th is the Go Monster Everything window display at Kids in Berlin - 472 Victoria Street North Melbourne. This is a 'monsterification of objects' project and includes a bunch of one-off pieces I've been working on lately.
Hello!
Go Monster Everything is having a stall at the Northcote Town Hall Winter Markets starting this Saturday and running for the next four weeks: June 21, 28, July 5, 12. The markets run from 10am till 4pm and there will be lots of other handmade cool stuff for sale as well.
These will be the last markets I do before the lead up to Christmas so if you need some midwinter monsters come along.
There will be a Go Monster Everything window display at Kids in Berlin running during the Melbourne Fringe Festival (Sep 30th to Oct 13th) with some new monster art pieces, and I will also be putting a piece into another exhibition running at Federation square during the Fringe. Oh and I'm planning to have a monster stall at the TINA festival in Newcastle in October.
More about this stuff later.
Go Monster Everything is having another exhibition!
This one is called "The Monster Shop". There will be all the usual monster stuff - monster tshirts, monster patches and monster toys, as well as new monster collages, fancy monsters and monster patchwork! Cool!
It opens at the Eisenberg Gallery, 126a Nicholson St East Brunswick (cnr Blyth st) on Sunday April 27th from 6pm to 9pm. There is also a closing party on Friday May 9th from 6pm to 9pm.
I'm really excited about the collages! They're made using photocopies of my own drawings cut up and stuck together. A very fruitful new monster making excercise, and more complex monsters are appearing as a result.
Go Monster Everything is having an exhibition at the After Dark Bar Gallery from March 6th to March 20th. The After Dark is at 565 High Street Thornbury, and opening night will be Thursday March 6th at around 7pm.
The working title for the exhibition is Go Tshirt Everything! It's a tshirt exhibition, and will be showcasing new designs, old favourites and one off applique tshirts.
More on this as it comes to hand.
OK for the next 3 months (December 21 to March 21) Go Monster Everything has a space at the Design a Space shop in Melbourne city at 20 Manchester Lane. So go and check it out!
Also there will be a Go Monster Exhibition happening in late April at the Eisenberg Gallery and a window display at Kids in Berlin in May. More about these soon.
Hello and welcome!
This is the first real entry on the blog.
So Go Monster Everything has been pretty busy! The stall at the TINA (This is not Art) Festival in Newcastle went really well. Lots more people walking around wearing Go Monster Tshirts now. The Owl monster Tshirts are definitely the most popular. Who would have thought that so many people appreciate the colour brown! It's always been one of my favourites.
The new Go Monster Everything website is up!
There is a lot more to come.
Stay tuned for more images and more information.
